Gettin' Ready For The Weekend

Nothin' like some Big Pig to get you pumped for the weekend.

Sin Lugar A Douster

Nothing gets me in the mood quite like some heavy tribal drum beats; pulsating, bass-filled dance hall wreckers that push ravers to the limit.  And one guy who seems to have this down is Douster.  The Agentine bass baron's latest release, Triassic is filled with just such jams for all you sweaty little hard-bodies.  Fresh off a great show last week at Paris Social Club, look for some heavy duty stuff coming from Douster in 2010.

Douster - Ladinian

Classixx - I'll Get You (Douster Remix)

(Note: this remix reminds me of middle school slow dances)

Monday Evening Tracks-5 Words Or Less

I feel like I say this every week, but work seems to be getting increasingly busy due to the holiday crunch so tonight I just wanna throw up some jams for you without going into a lot of detail.  So here are 3 tracks described in 5 words or less.

Frank Lucas would be proud:
Jayou - Blue Magic

Send forth the night, ladies:
Peaches - I Feel Cream (Larry Tee & Alexander Technique Blogula Rmx)

Heavier than flatbed dump-trucks:
Pendulum - Showdown (Excision Remix)

Check out Jayou, Larry Tee, and Excision on myspace.

Magic In The Air

To celebrate Disney returning to its animated roots, I'd like to give you some remixes from Mad Decent's Toadally Krossed Out.  I promise if you kiss either of these amphibians, they won't turn into a prince but they just may kiss you back (bonus track after the jump).

Fool's Gold - Surprise Hotel (Toadally Krossed Out Remix)

Amanda Blank - Shame On Me (Toadally Krossed Out Remix)

Wednesday Freshness....Heavy Edition

Wednesdays are generally busy for us here at Metal Top Hat so I'm gonna cut back the talk and just pass on some tunes for ya.

Le Castle Vania is an ATLien I've had my eye on a lot lately, he's been devastating crowds at some of our favorite parties here in LA as well as San Fran, NYC, and of course the dirty dirty.  His latest is as heavy as ever and will surely smack you in the face.

Le Castle Vania - Nobody Gets Out Alive!

Next is a remix from another MTH fan-fav, Hey Champ.  The Chicago funk masters take on Mike Posner's Cooler Than Me, one upping the original which makes me beg to ask, is anyone cooler than Hey Champ??  Doubtful.

Mike Posner - Cooler Than Me (Hey Champ Remix)

And finally I've got a dandy little remix of Dragonette's Pick Up The Phone by Jaxsur, hope you enjoy.

Dragonette - Pick Up The Phone (Jaxsur Remix)

Till next time, Love, Peace, and Chicken
