Hump Day Ritual

That's right you bastards, the Midweek Pull is here again!  I've been looking high and low (but mostly just my soundcloud dashboard) for some totally amazing and awesomely radical tunes to throw your way and this is the best I could come up with.  New tracks today from Photo Romance, David Heartbreak, Chrome Wolves, and more...let's hop in and see what we come out with shall we?!

Super derpy track right here as French duo Aglory trap-down King Kong's original in an eerily beautiful way. I'm especially excited about the use of the nylon acoustic guitar for the super sexy breakdown about 50 seconds in...yeahhhh smooth as hell.

Fools be using some crazy letters lately. I'm pretty sure it says Soniye is the artist who has unleashed the hell hounds on WARP. Seriously, this thing is nutty.

More dark tracks from the great PNW, Portland's Chrome Wolves channels his inner man in black for this excellent track. It's a FREE DOWNLOAD so get on it right now!

You want some free moombahton?? Sheeeeeeeeet, you like Ludacris?? How about a FREE Ludacris moombahton remix??? Oh man, I just made your day didn't I? Don't thank me, thank these dudes Agro Swag by following them on TWITTER so you can know about future releases as they drop.

It was sorta hard to escape JWLS' "Bashin'" yesterday if you're any kind of moombahton fan and I was most excited to see that Nadastrom were giving away this bouncy remix. Get on it!! Also, do yourself a favor and buy the full EP RIGHT HERE.

Speaking of creepy tracks, Photo Romance shared this 'core leaning remix of fellow countryman Gesaffelstein's "Belgium" the other day so I wanted to pass it along. It's a FREE DOWNLOAD so get on it while you can y'all cause sometimes tracks get picked up and then you have to pay for them :(

The homie Pickster One also giving away a free moombahton track. He flipped Cassidy's "Hotel" for "all my working club DJ's that grind it out each and every week" so grab this free track and put your mother fucking hands up!!

My main man Nightmare coming through with some Freddy Krueger type scary stuff. FREE DOWNLOAD of his remix of Bingo Players...get it while it's hot!

I gots free tracks coming out of my ears in here!! :DFace promised to drop all sorts of free stuff for us this summer and so far he's following through with that!! Another huge track that will certainly make it into moombahton sets for DJs around the country if not the world...FREE DOWNLOAD!!

As mentioned earlier in the week, this Birdy Nam Nam remix from Skrill-dogg is probably one of the most hyped tracks of the month so I was stoked to see that dude Heartbreak made sure to drop one of his signature Loc'd out remixes for us to enjoy. Not up for download yet but knowing this dude it'll wind up on a free comp soon y'all...be patient.

That's it for this week's MWP. Some tracks are great, some you'll love, some I'm sure you'll hate but hey that's what music is all about!! Grab the free downloads where applicable and make sure to support the artists by purchasing the full EPs that they release. Also be a good lad/lass and follow us on twitter, like us on facebook, and follow us on soundcloud. Cool, good work.

That Long Weekend Feeling

As stated earlier I'm heading to San Diego tomorrow to cover Comic-Con for GoRadio so I wanted to jump on my mixtape blog today to get in the mood and possibly pick up a few mixes for my (and hopefully some of your) trip!  So many tapes, they've been falling like rain over the last few days and since I missed last week I've got some pilling up in my soundcloud favorites.  Fresh mixes from A-Trak, Crookers, Pipes, and many more so let's get to 'em!!

Ok that's it!!!  Now I'm seriously going outta town so if you need me tweet me, send me a facebook message, or some soundcloud hate mail if you wish but there probably won't be any more posts till next Monday folks!!  That is unless something amazing happens which in all likelihood could be the case buuuuuuuut don't plan on it!  Have a great rest of your week y'all!!

Breakin' Things Down...Midweek Style

Sometimes it can be difficult to come up with a magnitude of tracks that I see fitting for our long posts.  This week that is certainly not the case.  So much new stuff jumping up on soundcloud it's slightly baffling to me, y'all must be working your asses off in the studio trying to get this stuff out and might I add, it's pretty great work!  New stuff today from Valorous, DJ Madd OD, Craze and more...let's quit talking about it and jump right into the new material.

Coming off the success of his Generation Bass release this month, OktoRed dropped this free track for his fans to enjoy! It's a tasty slice of dembowed electronica with plenty of low end to get your trunk rattling.

No one doubts Bart B More and Harvard Bass' abilities when it comes to rocking a party into the wee hours of the AM. Here, in their latest collaboration for Secure Recordings, they give us a theme song to their long used phrase describing such raucousness.  BUY IT HERE.

Another free track from our buddy :DFace in his summer of free music series. This one drives along in a pitchy battle between kick and synth leads. Good stuff.

DMC Champ and Miami native Craze promised that for every game the Heat won in the finals he'd drop a Loc'd Out remix. Well after Lebron and the boys handled biz on Sunday about 5 tracks jumped onto the man's soundcloud as promised...the best part? They're all FREE!! This is my fav.

And here we have Mr. Vega (1/2 of Sazon Booya) delivering a hot hot hot moombahcore flip of Zegema Beach's "People Don't"...FIRE...FREE DOWNLOAD!

Some moombah-fied merengue from LA's own Jonny Chino...he flipped Tabaco Y Ron into his own heavy kick style...super blipy and dance floor ready...nearly. It's still unmastered and we here at MTH eagerly await the final version.

Some more moombahcore from friend of the site Valorous...this original track has some catchy ass vocal chops and a mesmerizing synth bass to get you worked up right into the thick of it.

Now two from Diabluma Sound; this Steve Starks tune dropped on Generation Bass earlier in the week as part of their Moombahtonista series (volume 007 with Dave Nada). It's a great read, big props to DJ UMB for educating the masses and a special thanks for the free download y'all!

Now this is from Diabluma founders and moombahton "inventors" Nadastrom...not sure why but they decided to jump back into the soundcloud game and dropped a few tracks including this one, which I don't have in my collection, so I thought I'd share it with my loyal readers.

Sandwich Island Bass are a trio of producers from Maui who have recently been all over the moombah game. This new track is a core-leaning ditty and you can almost feel the ocean breeze pass over you as you take in the mass of sounds.

Here we have a new cut from DC OG: DJ Madd OD. It's a great new song in his signature latin style with plenty of bouncy beats to get the dance floor moving. Plus it's another FREE DOWNLOAD! Which you know I dig.

Last but not least, here's a new track from the crazy duo of DJ EJ and MiniMaxX. This track was premiered by Walmer last week and we're jumping on it too cause it's a heater! And cause we wanna give cred where it's due and these cats are DUE!  Plus it's our fav...FREE DOWNLOAD.

That'll do it for this week's midweek pull, thanks again for checking us out. For all things MTH please make sure to check us out on Facebook, twitter, and send any songs you want us to hear at our email or to our soundcloud inbox! See you Friday for some mixtapes y'all!!

Don Draper Would Put Subs In His Trunk For These

Following the strength of his No Stopping EP, released in March, Rot10 Musik has recruited some of the top folks on their roster to remix the :DFACE cult hit "Mad Man".  These flips run the gamut of 2012 bass genres with everything from (of course) Moombahton and Kurduro to the currently posh rebirth of Trap.  Remixers include label head honcho Kid Cedek, midwest trio Secret Sauce, Las Vegas' own Shelco Garcia, LA moombahtonistas gLAdiator, Aylen from New Jersey, and of course the Stamford mad man remixing himself in top notch fashion.  Check the previews below, the EP hits digital outlets worldwide on Friday.

Don't Be Shy 003 with :DFACE

Really excited to unleash upon you this month's edition of "Don't Be Shy" featuring none other than Rot10 Musik artist :DFACE.  Garrett was kind enough to call us up and chat about his life in the music world, his influences, his cultivation of the moombahton sound, and more recently his move to break away from the pack by creating melodic electronica at 110.  Take a listen!

He's fresh off tour and going wild in the studio and will be releasing free tunes for the rest of the year so make sure to follow this dude in the following spots:

That Monday Stuff

You're different, Rashad. You're special.

Gah, the weekend, sigh...is over.  Back to the grind.  Back to the 4:45am alarm.  Back to 8 hour work days and not nearly enough time to relax.  Here at MTH it's back to NEW MUSIC!  Yay!  Does new music make your week start off better??  It does for me!  Kicking things off with a new track from the homies 2 Deep, TYBG.

Here's something a little special from :DFace, it's a peak into the electro/house aspect of his production and as usual Garrett lends his vocal talent to this peak time track. FREE DOWNLOAD!

Sandwich Island Bass is an outfit straight outta Maui, their warm climate perspective fits right in with the tropical feel of the moombah sound and we're glad to feature this killer bass driven track today.

Red from The Al Gore Rhythm Method reached out to me last week and I'm happy he did because this track is super catchy. Grab it for free while there are downloads left!!

New Dillon Francis.

DJEJ just dropped his bootleg of Kid Cedek's "Sientelo", it's a little too late for the remix contest but we think he might have been at the top of the table if he'd have gotten this out in time, check it out.

Here's another free bootleg, this time from DOSLOBOS. He switched it up on us and took Astronomar's Jeffree's release to a different place all together.

Here's a funky feeling track from Riot Earp and Noms; it's fighting music for sure.

Big ups to ETC! ETC! on this dope Major Lazer remix...1000 plays in 120 minutes?!

Yet another strange track for ya here on a Monday! Make sure to check out Javier Estrada coming to Muevelo this May!

Fiona Apple flipped? Sure, why not.

Can't get enough of Neki Stranac lately, here's his contribution to 110BPM Vol. 2 which you can grab for absolutely FREE RIGHT HERE.

Gonna end this week's post with a couple of pop reworks, starting off with Loud Flavor's remix of the Diplo produced "Climax".

And finally we have a Gym Class Heroes remix--never thought I'd be giving these dudes press but PrimeTime stepped up to the plate and I'm really digging the drum work he's done setting this track to the 108 dembowed out moombah-style.

Alright y'all that's all for today, hope you're Monday goes extremely well and we'll see you Wednesday with more and more and MORE new music. PEACE!

New :DFace in YOUR FACE

The title of this EP reminds me of a Queen song, as do :DFace's vocals at times oddly enough; I wonder if there's any correlation.  Either way this release is not to be missed; as we reported earlier in the month the Stamford, Connecticut native will venture out into the US in support of this Rot10 release with stops in Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, Lincoln, and more.  So grab up this EP RIGHT HERE and enjoy the previews below.

:DFace Coming To A Town Near You!

Here comes the :DFace.  The Connecticut native will take his signature stylings out on the road starting with some dates in the midwest.  He'll team up with label mates Sazon Booya, Kid Cedek, ETC!ETC!, as well as MTH home boy Brent Tactic and as a preview he created a cool little mix for all of us to enjoy.  It's a preview of his forthcoming No Stopping EP which will be out later this month.  GET DOWN!

New Sazon Booya feat :DFace

Here's a video preview of the new :DFace and Sazon Booya single "Let It Be" released yesterday.  This track is slammin' and I'd highly suggest checking it out immediately.  2012 is shaping up to be an enormous year for the Booya boys and with :DFace getting more and more exposure with tracks on major compilations, we're sure he'll be picking up plenty of facetime in the scene as well.  Below find a few choice cuts from the New England lad.
