David Heartbreak. This guy has been influential in the growth of moombahton; in it to win it since the early days, Heartbreak is a pioneer in the moombahsoul/moombahcore sub genres and his work with Munchi will stand as some of the greatest tunes in the young movement's short history. Heartbreak was featured in
Generation Bass' "Moombahtonista" series and has gotten much love from BBC Radio 1,
Mixmag,
Mad Decent, and a ton of other spots on the net. Most recently he was featured on the official remix EP for
Skrillex and
Damien Marley's "Make It Bun Dem"; he has a lot of stuff forthcoming so keep your eye on the dude. [Note: this interview was recorded in the middle of August]
