Thursdays Are For Covers
Here we are again, another Thursday, another round of covers. Here's five tracks that may or may not outdo the originals...we're betting they don't but we still love these artists for recording them.

Mr. Big Live Acoustic Album Coming To US
Recorded in Tokyo last January, Live From The Living Room will be release in late February according to Braveworlds.com. "Mr. Big were invited to the WOWOW TV Studios in Tokyo to perform a special show in an intimate setting. When the talk of a broadcast first came up, the band wanted to present something different than they’ve ever done before." Lead singer Eric Martin says, "We did an acoustic show at the Hard Rock café in Singapore in 1996 that (till this day) is one of my favorite live recordings. It had a stripped down, up close and personal feel to it. If we were going to do something like that again it would have to be extra special." Really looking forward to this, one of my favorite albums ever is Paul Gilbert's 2003 release Acoustic Samurai. Here's a great video of the boys out on the road earlier this year.

STREET LETHAL 1986
Probably my favorite Racer X album of all time. Besides the title track, Street Lethal contains such face melting tunes as "Hotter Than Fire", "Into The Night", and "On The Loose". Gilbert's guitar virtuoso shines through even in this early stage of his career and the raw unencumbered energy these early 20's musicians bring to the table will have you rockin' all night long.
