1984 LIVE

Let's go back people.  Back to the big hair, the rad pattern tights, the crazy ass paint jobs on single humbucker laden guitars. Let's take a moment to remember the ridiculous virtuosity expressed by 19 year old guitarists from middle America who came to LA with a dream in their heart and an itch to tear up the fretboard. Ladies and gentlemen, 1984...LIVE!

Someone needs to remind Madonna that AUTOGRAPH is the only band I'll ever think of when I hear the phrase "Turn Up The Radio"...SUCK IT MADONNA

Stephen Pearcy, Alive and Well in 2012

Way Cool Jr. in the Mesh Top
Starting the year off with a band, RATT frontman Stephen Pearcy sat down with Rock Confidential for an update on his solo album Sucker Punch as well as new material from the LA hair-aficionados.  Along the way Pearcy talks about life on the road, their latest release Infestation, and an upcoming video release that sounds pretty awesome to us here at MTH.

On songs for the new Ratt album:
"It’s coming along amazing actually. We’ve got some great stuff on the table right now. This new Ratt record is gonna be strong. I’m glad I waited with these songs."
On writing:
"We literally went back to basics. We found a small room, got the acoustic guitars and the cassette decks. It’s the same format we wrote Out Of The Cellar with."
On unreleased footage from their hay-day:
"I have so many formats of video from day one, Europe, Japan, shows with Ozzy. Forget the stuff on YouTube. I have the shit with real cameras that never saw the light of day."
