Pullin' It!

Sitting down to write this week's MWP and I realize that I haven't been to the comic shop in like 5 weeks...there's probably like $75 worth of new issues sitting in a box with my name on it.  Don't know if I should be happy (mad stuff to read) or sad (mad money outta my wallet that could be spent on drinks and/or new tunes).  Either way, that won't deter me from getting this blog done!!!  As you know, tons of new music dropping daily on the world wide web and we here at MTH take it as a personal responsibility to at least share a smidgen of it with y'all.  This week we've got new tracks from Major Lazer, Photo Romance, 2 Edit, and Dirty Audio among many.  I'm a little behind at work today so I'm doing this as a quickie post so make sure and listen to ALL these tunes; trust me they are wonderful.

Midweek Mayhem

Ladies and gentlemen!  We've reached the mid point in yet another great week for new music lovers and so it is again my pleasure to share some of my favorites.  It's sunny as hell out here in LA so it's some what torturous to be sitting in this cool air conditioned, windowless studio pouring over the dredges soundcloud has to offer but I take pride in bringing the heat to you out there in internet-land.  Fresh heat from David Heartbreak, Mendez, The Al Gore Rhythm Method and more this week so let's get it cracking!

Sin Diesel kicking things off with his forthcoming remix of Rot10 president Kid Cedek. Love the lurking drum work on this one as my man takes a seemingly darker approach than some other versions we've heart of this track.

FREE DOWNLOAD! El Cuco head honcho Mendez coming back again with yet another bootleg. Jump on this one while it's still available.

The Nadastrom remix of this still reigns as my favorite version of this Drop The Lime cut but I'll give the man props for this darker take on his own work.

Javier Estrada penned this theme music for LA based The Wood Class...met some of these dudes at Muevelo a while back, get at them if you wanna be mad swagged outta your mind.

Heartbreak calls this track a cross between "Trap Shit and Badman Rave". Good to see the chameleon back at it again with yet ANOTHER stylistic jump. Fans of this site know I'm a Marvel fan boy so mad props to Dave for donning the purple and green as well.

One of my absolutely favorite producers, Frenchman Douster dropped this new remix on us today. It debuted in the Thermal Teams most recent podcast and the awesome news is, IT'S FREE!

More Canadian moombah for y'all from the homies in TAGRM. Another step in a cool direction for this duo, we here at MTH look forward to more awesome productions to come.

Melo released this soulful, summer jam yesterday on his The Diamond King release. I suggest you pick it up immediately.

Here's another summer-tinged track from LA duo Poolside. Their "Daytime Disco" take on this cut from The Rapture has me yearning for a mojito and a chez lounge.

Yet another super-star team up for Dillon Francis, this time with Fool's Gold co-founder A-Trak. Make sure to check out the wacky video for this one featuring a handful of cool cameos.

Another lurky bass driven track and guess what...it's a FREE DOWNLOAD! Y'all know how much I love those...check out Doc Trashz FB page for more info on this Trouble and Bass artist.

In honor of Donna Summer's passing last week Riot Earp through together this club re-work of the Diana Ross classic "Missing You"...we here at MTH are also mourning the legendary disco artists passing, RIP.

This final track is somewhat a joke not sure if El Nomada is in on it but either way I like his 8-bitaton...haha.

So that'll do it for this week's new tracks.  Make sure to check in with us on Friday for some crazy mixtape madness!

That Monday Stuff

You're different, Rashad. You're special.
Gah, the weekend, sigh...is over.  Back to the grind.  Back to the 4:45am alarm.  Back to 8 hour work days and not nearly enough time to relax.  Here at MTH it's back to NEW MUSIC!  Yay!  Does new music make your week start off better??  It does for me!  Kicking things off with a new track from the homies 2 Deep, TYBG.

Here's something a little special from :DFace, it's a peak into the electro/house aspect of his production and as usual Garrett lends his vocal talent to this peak time track. FREE DOWNLOAD!

Sandwich Island Bass is an outfit straight outta Maui, their warm climate perspective fits right in with the tropical feel of the moombah sound and we're glad to feature this killer bass driven track today.

Red from The Al Gore Rhythm Method reached out to me last week and I'm happy he did because this track is super catchy. Grab it for free while there are downloads left!!

New Dillon Francis.

DJEJ just dropped his bootleg of Kid Cedek's "Sientelo", it's a little too late for the remix contest but we think he might have been at the top of the table if he'd have gotten this out in time, check it out.

Here's another free bootleg, this time from DOSLOBOS. He switched it up on us and took Astronomar's Jeffree's release to a different place all together.

Here's a funky feeling track from Riot Earp and Noms; it's fighting music for sure.

Big ups to ETC! ETC! on this dope Major Lazer remix...1000 plays in 120 minutes?!

Yet another strange track for ya here on a Monday! Make sure to check out Javier Estrada coming to Muevelo this May!

Fiona Apple flipped? Sure, why not.

Can't get enough of Neki Stranac lately, here's his contribution to 110BPM Vol. 2 which you can grab for absolutely FREE RIGHT HERE.

Gonna end this week's post with a couple of pop reworks, starting off with Loud Flavor's remix of the Diplo produced "Climax".

And finally we have a Gym Class Heroes remix--never thought I'd be giving these dudes press but PrimeTime stepped up to the plate and I'm really digging the drum work he's done setting this track to the 108 dembowed out moombah-style.

Alright y'all that's all for today, hope you're Monday goes extremely well and we'll see you Wednesday with more and more and MORE new music. PEACE!
